Sprout

Finally, finally, some evidence - for my own eyes - that this pregnancy is more than just nausea and vomiting and unremitting fatigue. Proof that there's a there in there, and that there is occupied:

That's Super Sprout, and from the way that he or she is kicking my ass, Sprout is going to have a lot in common with the Wonderbaby.

I love those US shots - our firstborn was named based on her profile on US, and darn if she didn't look exactly like we thought she would.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy! I forgot how amazing it is to see this - feel the cold goopy stuff on your belly and watch the wand thingy elicit this image (clearly of a loving, talented, graceful child.) I send you love and a bit of envy...

OH and by the way the last time I read a Zen Koan it was in NINE STORIES or FRANNY AND ZOOEY -- can't remember which -- and I was almost as young as Wonderbaby (hyperbole but still - what fun to think about them again...)

The first time I say an ultrasound photo, I actually said "What the hell? What the hell am I supposed to be looking at?"

Apparently there have been some upgrades in sonogram technology over the years because that there looks like an actual little person.

Yay!

Blogger MamaMichelsBabies said...

Awesome! Ultrasounds are always the best.. and they make up for everything involved.

This also leads to the question, are mothers really the only people that can make out what's what on those without the training the tech gets?

Congrats again!
