The Missin' Mah Baby, Disembodied Head Blues

Miss this:

Miss this so much.

Because this?

Not quite a sufficient substitute.

(Loving up some of the most awesomest wimmins on the interwebs, however, went some long way to helping with banal mommy-misses-child blues. Some looong way.)

(Yes, I did, obviously, make it to my destination alive and well. Very, very tired and hungry and sore - after multiple flight delays and - most fun - nearly four hours stuck on a tiny Continental Express jet on the tarmac with no food or drink, badly scratched knees shoved up against the seat in front of me - but well. And very happy to arrive.)

Is that Barbie head's name tattooed on her neck? That's hard core.

Seems after following you awesome interweb wimmin via Twitter and Flickr, July 18 cannot come fast enough.

I hope that there was enough wine after the fact to make up for the knees and the delay!

Hope your travels are delay-less from now on. It was fab spending time with you and your glow (both in face and spirit)

Can't wait to see you all again.

I don't EVEN want to know what kind of a conference you're at that makes you play with that head.

It was a blog conference and you had to do braiding? That's weird.

Glad to say things have just got better - I've given you an award. If you can make it to my blog - even though you are very weary - that would be great.

We didn't HAVE to do braiding. Braiding was optional. As was the lecture on uterus-dropping.
