Real Moms...

... feel the fear and do it anyway.

*******

(Real mom-bloggers share life-decisions with the Internets. Real mom-bloggers share everything with the Internets. Not because they're narcissists. Because bigger, whip-toting bloggers - and the occasional cheeky red-head - tell them to.)

(Real mom-bloggers like cracking the whip themselves, but this mom-blogger is late to the meme and so must settle for just vaguely brandishing her own whip in the air and insisting that anyone who has not yet exposed their real-momness must do so immediately. And report back.)

But are you sure you want to come to BlogHer knocked up??

Two was hard at first. But now I love it.

HAPPY DAY! Another WonderBaby is in the works. But will he press soy cheese into his forehead? I am waiting with bated breath.

Really? (MB asked while giggling like a little girl). Really?

As long as you don't pictures of the actual trying, I'll be rooting for you (because this isn't that kind of blog).

Wait - it's just the predictor right? Not the test? I'm so confused. Let me get another coffee and re-read the post.

And the real challenge? I'll give it a try.

I've made my call now too - but I'm holding off for another few months to try and time with Misterpie's new school year schedule. Will try to figure out something I can post for this in the meantime!

Wow. As a mother of 2, all I can say is.... DON'T DO IT!

If you think worrying about screwing up one kid is bad, I gotta tell you 2 kids is way more than just twice as much work!

Please wait until Wonderbaby is toilet trained... please wait until she's in JK.... please wait until she leaves home, or at least is old enough to babysit #2!

And the baby bug strikes again.

Don't worry, I can give you lots of refresher practice with a newborn at BlogHer this year - and hopefully you won't run screaming after seeing me try to deal with my two. (At least, I hope I'll be able to deal with two kids.)

I found life is easier the second time around. You've picked up a few tricks along the way - plus when the wonderbaby gets a little older, s/he'll have a playmate. More blogging time. Yippee!

Thanks all! (But, um, Anonymous with the 'don't do it' message? Way to freak me out.)

And hells yeah Ali - and whoever else wants to bare their real momness to the world - do it! Then let me know so I can come cheer!

Mayberry Mom speaks for me... Two is a bit hard at first but then you adjust and it's awesome. Also, I highly recommend an ovulation scope. It's a one time purchase of about $15 and works like a charm.

Ignore anonymous! I have 2 - 15 months apart & if you're changing 1 diaper, you might as well change 2. It's actually easier than dragging Wonderbaby to the potty every hour will be. Good luck!

And thanks for reminding me that I have not yet revealed my real momness. I will do so.

Real Momness...I will work on that one.

Best of luck! May you be blessed with another WONDERFUL baby.

I am curious about the kit, is it salvia, pee, blood? I kind of got pregnant the first time, every time. That sounds weird. Two girls and two miscarriages. Now that sounds depressing...ah.

Must remove fingers from keyboard...

Smooth sailing, TheirBadMother-to-be!

Let me know if you find out what an ovulation scope is. I'm starting to think that newborns are cute and appealing again, instead of just downright scary.

yay you for pushing past that fear. you will only get better with more wonderbabiness to love. :)

despite my non-mom-ness, i got tagged for this meme too. apparently people think the fact that i wrote about my own bad mother means i have something valuable to contribute to this discussion. who knew? if you're interested, i finally got the post up tonight, so feel free to come check it out.

Although there were some hard times with colic and PPD, I wouldn't trade my girls who are just 25 minutes shy of being exactly two years apart. They love each other so much! That being said, I'm done with baby making myself. I may very well be getting my IUD when, you know... :)

Good luck! Wonderbaby will be a great big sister.

catherine you won't regret having baby # 2,its really not so bad having 2 of them and the heart just gets bigger and more full of love with each new baby.and they need a sibling anyways.go for it!i love each and every one of mine.and wouldn't have it any other way.good luck to you.LAVENDULA

That is wonderful! My boys are 26 months apart, which means Ryan was the age WonderBaby is now when we started trying again. And just you wait-the first time you see WonderBaby pat her brother or sister on the head, or kiss him/her gently on the forehead, your heart will swell up even bigger!

It's a cliche because it's true. Going from 1 to 2 is hard. (But it gets easier.) Going from 2 to 3 -- piece of cake. Good luck!

20 months apart and contemplating and hoping for a number three. Good luck. Do know this: they will be co-conspirators in a little thing we like to call synchronized shitting. They out-maneuver even the finest choreographers with their ability to perfecly time the explosions. It is a spectacular ride!
