Home Is Where The Internet Is

Coming soon to a blog near you.

First, I need to scan - no joke - some 900 e-mails. And, wash nine days of RV stink from my body, and try to get the last grains of sand out of various Wonderbaby crevices.

In the meantime: WHAT'D I MISS???

Nine days of NO internet, no newspapers, no television, and did I say NO INTERNET? I can't possibly catch up, so, you know, if you could maybe lend a girl a hand and fill me in? Maybe leave a link or two in the comments to posts that I should catch? (Yes, you can leave your own, or somebody else's, or whatever - just tell me what to read - I can't bear to open Bloglines or Google Reader, lest these cause my laptop to give up and die and/or my brain to explode. HELP.)

Welcome home! I felt just the same as you - if you read blogrhet, you'll see why :)

i gave you an award for being nice in this post. but then sandra wrote about it and made me feel all bad because apparently "nice" is a boring adjective. so instead, let's assume i meant "kick ass, but in a really sweet way so that she makes everyone feel warm and fuzzy inside."

yeah, where's an award for that?

Nothing at my place for sure. But here's a few good links.

I'm going to try to link it, we'll see if it works. I apologize if it doesn't work.

It's been a bit slow, so give it a few days and I'm sure you'll catch up. Glad you're back, although the peeps you left behind did a great job. You may be out of booze though.

Welcome home. The neighborhood isn't the same without you.

There a wee something for you over at my place. Once you trudge through the one million posts waiting for you in Bloglines. ;)

Welcome back! Take your time and make sure you knock back a shot or two before going through all of the great posts and comments made on your blog during your "vacation". You may want to check your jewelry box and make sure all of your gems are properly accounted for! LOL!

I've got some Burning Man and toddler transgender discussions over my way, maybe a homeless deal or two too (gotta keep it real)

Do what I do and just read the Hollywood gossip and to get all caught up with the real news.

As for the real REAL news, all is well in blogeritaville. b*babbler beat me to it - the baby was born and all is well.

I can't wait to hear the stories.

Well, let's see. Jenn's (Serving the Queens) scare was just a scare -- her lump was benign. That's news!

And...many bloggers I read are desperate for their kids to go back to school or are breathing a sigh of relief because their kids are already back in school. There's a lot of talk (writing) about school/preschool/daycare.

Welcome back.

I agree with SM, mostly those of us with school age kids who are all my baby is going to school or I can't wait 'till the kids are in school they're driving me crazy! Kinda slow, although I did enjoy the Notes from the Trenches thing which I had stumbled across earlier.
And I wanted to pass you the Nice Matters thing, too, but you were already recognized.
Welcome back!

welcome back :)

you know that little button in the Google Reader that says "mark all as read"? yeah... there's a twinge of guilt when you use it, but after so long gone, there is just a bit of a rush too. every now and then, when the sand in the crevices is more important than the laptop, it's just so worth it.

Nine days! Congrats! It does us good to unplug. I am no help on which posts to catch, since I am hopelessly in love with most of the blogs I read, so you probably don't want my "short" list - which isn't very short at all. Welcome back.

my husband just got some device from Rogers (in Toronto) where you plug it into an outlet and voila, wireless! Not sure if this is good or bad that now he (we) can go online from ANYWHERE. Even the car. Too much? Perhaps...

Gaiter - we actually have one of those, which we brought along, but the one time we were in reach of a wireless network the plug wasn't working. Which, you know, sucked.
