Georgie (The NanaDoob) does the aggressive lap-hoarding thing, and insists upon her share of cuddle time. But then she also spends a lot of time guarding the bassinet, nipping at anyone (me) who seems to make Baby cry, and general Baby tending-to (hence the 'Nana'). But we think that it's because aligning herself with Baby gives her more opportunities for lap/cuddles/etc. Prior to Baby's arrival, Lily (The Sissy) was the full-on despot and decided when Georgie could or could not sit on laps. But Lily now retreats when Baby is out (she's trying to pretend that Baby doesn't exist, we think) and so George seems to view Baby time as her time, too.

But yeah, TOTALLY like small furry people, and sometimes eerily dog-like...

Aaaanyway. They tolerate Cordelia, especially because she's learned "gentle" and pets them nicely.

But they'll still fight her for my attention. When she was a newborn, I'd be nursing her, and Dante, my blue point, was always right there on my lap with us. He wasn't about to let some new baby take away his lap.

Siamese cats are the best! They're like people sometimes, and sometimes they're like dogs in a cat body.Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07345875955750219033noreply@blogger.com
